Watch Lady Gaga Perform a Medley From The Sound of Music at the Oscars

TIME

Lady Gaga paid tribute to The Sound of Music with a special performance of the film’s title song at the Oscars.

The pop singer, who recently released an album of jazz duets with Tony Bennett, performed a tribute to The Sound of Music, which is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary next month (the Julie Andrews musical was released in March 1965). Gaga sang “The Sound of Music,” and “My Favorite Things,” “Edelweiss,” and “Climb Every Mountain,” all beloved songs from the musical; all this preceded the entrance of Sound of Music star Julie Andrews.

Lady Gaga was one of several popular music acts who performed at the ceremony, which also included Jennifer Hudson, Tim McGraw, Tegan and Sara, and Maroon 5. But she may have been the star who sold her work the most aptly.
